FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES

The Faculty of Foreign Languages was founded on April 9, 2001 and currently comprises 8 Departments: Language Practice, Foreign Culture and Literature, Translation and Interpretation, TESOL Methodology, English for Management, Linguistics, Non-major English and French. For purpose of teaching and learning foreign languages, the  Faculty is equipped with one 40-console computer lab, one 48-console language lab, one reading room with more than ten thousand books, and other audio-visual equipments such as LCD projectors, TVs, VCRs, DVD players.

Academic Programs

-          Undergraduate programs (4 years)

o   English language (with 3 optional concentrations in English Teaching, English for Management and Translation and Interpretation). Graduates are conferred with Bachelor’s degree in English Language.

o   Bilingual French and English.

Research Activities

In recent years, the Faculty has focused researches in the field of teaching English, especial English for specific purposes (ESP). Two areas of high interest are:

1. Solutions for improving quality of teaching ESP
2. Application of new teaching approaches in teaching General English and ESP
