Research Areas and Services:

-          Research on wood, wood-based and fiber materials;

-          Research for advanced technology and new research results application in field of forest products, pulp and paper;

-          Study on new technology solutions on wood and paper technology;

-          Offer the practice lessons to both graduate and undergraduate students;

-          Provide social information of related fields and transfer technology;

-     Offer the short course training on wood machining, wood finishing, wood drying, interior design and wood production management;

-          Verify kind of wood, test wood and paper characteristics;

-          Evaluate the qualities of forest and paper products;

-          Organize the workshops and seminars on above fields;

-          Wood drying (to do outwork) for companies and enterprises.

Facilities

Some typical equipments are INSTRON machine using for testing mechanical properties of wood and wood-based panels, peeler, laboratory rotating digester, pulp disintegrator, valley beater, PFI beater, fiber classifier, sheet former, tensile tester, stiffness tester, folding endurance of paper tester and etc. Besides, there are also 10 drying kiln to drying wood for companies and enterprises according to their requests.
