Roundtable Discussion on “Innovation and Spin-off: outcomes of the Vietnam – Belgium cooperationâ€
On April 10th 2017, Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City in cooperation with the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam organized a Roundtable Discussion on “Innovation and Spin-off: outcomes of the Vietnam – Belgium cooperation”
The Belgian delegation was led by Mr. Rudy Huygelen, Chief Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium along with Mrs. Jehanne Roccas, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam and Ms. Ngo Thu Huong, Attaché of the Belgian Embassy.
The participants from Nong Lam University consisted of Prof. Nguyen Hay, President and Chairman of the Discussion, Dr.Nguyen Ngoc Thuy – Head of International Cooperation, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Tai Huan – Dean of Food Technology Faculty and other interested lecturers as well as faculty staff.
Besides, there was also the participation of the representatives from Can Tho University, Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 2 and some private companies.

After the meeting, the Belgian Embassy and the Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh City hope to obtain the fruitful results of the cooperation between Vietnam and Belgium in capacity building and research capacity in the context of socio-economic development in Vietnam. In particular, the Embassy is very pleased to see the capacity of Vietnamese researchers and faculty members to be reinforced through research and innovation.
