On 6th August, 2018, Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City (NLU) organized the Opening Ceremony of “Rural development and Landscape design workshop” for professors and graduate school students from National Chung Hsing University, National Chiayi University and Tunghai University, Taiwan.
At this event, the representatives of NLU were Dr.Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, Head of International Cooperation Office, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Le Quoc Tuan, Dean of Environment and Natural Resources Faculty, Architect Do Ngoc Nhuan, Lecturer of Environment and Natural Resources Faculty and many students of Department of Landscaping and Horticulture, Environment and Natural Resources Faculty.
On behalf of NLU, Dr.Nguyen Ngoc Thuy had a warm welcome to the delegation and delivered opening remarks on the close cooperation between the two universities during the past time. After that, there were an open discussion about specific orientation and direction for the landscape design this year.
Prof. Chen-Fa Wu of Chung Hsing University hoped that this would be an opportunity for the two universities to strengthen a cooperative and coherent relationship, laying the foundation for the development of more dynamic, practical and sustainable programs afterwards.
The workshop took place from 7th to 11th, August, 2018 with the aim of designing two landscapes in HCMC and Can Gio.
