On September 14th, 2018, the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicines of Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City (NLU) organized the Opening Ceremony of the Pilot Feed Mill which had been funded by Evonik.
Evonik is a manufacturer of specialty chemicals and active in development, manufacture and supply for a variety of products and formulation for us in different applications, in particular in the field of amino acids and their derivatives for product and formulations for animal nutrition. Meanwhile, NLU is active in the field of animal nutrition and has a faculty for Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. Furthermore, the University has an own Practice Farm for scientific animal testing programs.
With the shared purpose, the two organizations signed the Cooperation Agreement to build a pilot plant for the manufacture of feed products on the premises of NLU. The new Pilot Feed Mill will provide a modern facility and a greatly improved learning environment for the students of the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicines.
At the event, there was attendance of Dr.Bui Ngoc Hung, University Council Chairman, administrators and staff of Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicines involved in this project. Especially, NLU was honored to have a presence of Mr. Andreas Siegel, German Consulate General as well as the senior leaders of Evonik.
On behalf of NLU, Dr.Bui Ngoc Hung delivered an Opening Speech at this event. On his speech, he emphasize that NLU would be pleased to support this collaborative project in scientific research as well as to contribute to the successful operation of the Feed Mill. Hopefully, this event would strengthen the partnership and provide more opportunities of collaboration between NLU and Evonik in the near future.
