Strengthening Academic and Research Collaboration Between Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City and Okayama University
On March 11, 2025, a significant meeting was held at Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City (NLU) to discuss future collaboration with Okayama University, Japan. The meeting, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan, Presiden of NLU took place at Meeting Room 103, Thien Ly Building, and saw the participation of key representatives from both institutions.
In the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan expressed enthusiasm for strengthening cooperation between the two universities in the future. He also suggested the potential establishment of an Okayama University Office at NLU. As a representative of Okayama University, Prof. Nishino Naoki informed that four professors from the Graduate School of Okayama University would visit NLU to explore academic and research collaboration opportunities and expressed a strong commitment to supporting further cooperation, particularly in agricultural sciences. Additionally, he warmly welcomed NLU’s students and faculty to study at Okayama University under Project 89.
In addition , Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Thong, Dean of Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, NLU expressed interest in launching a joint Master’s program in Veterinary Medicine by the second semester of 2025.
This meeting marks an important step in fostering deeper academic and research collaboration between NLU and Okayama University, paving the way for numerous opportunities in education and research for both institutions.
