In this email we'll present you with information about our ISW, and an option to use our call to select your own grant holders.

 

• UAL will be organizing its 15th International Staff Week on April 20-24, 2026.

The ISW is a great opportunity to participate in training and networking activities at Almería. If you want to get an idea of how it works, you can have a look at the 2025 edition, here. The ISW usually gathers more than 60 participants from universities from all around the world. We specially encourage the attendance from representatives or people linked to International Offices that have not come to the ISW before, because it is also a chance to discuss KA-171 in depth.

 

• We are also announcing that in the next few weeks we will open the "Call for distribution of grants for international mobility from Partner Countries to the University of Almeria within the framework of the ERASMUS+ KA-171 program during the academic year 2025/26."

This call is an opportunity for your university to delegate in UAL the selection of your grant holders. For example: if your University is interested in using your available Staff/Faculty Erasmus+ mobility funding to attend the ISW, you could tell the potential candidates to participate in our call. We would do the selection based in our procedure (see attached draft - any comments or suggestions are welcome), and you would just be required to a) give publicity to the call among your Staff/Faculty and b) sign a "Support & Certification letter" to your valid candidates (see last page of the attached draft).

But participating in UAL's call is a voluntary decision - If your University wants to do your own call, no problem. Remember that you will be required to make a fair, public and transparent call, with an appeal procedure (this guideline could be useful if you want to make sure you're following the rules). All those requirements will have to be documented and sent to UAL together with the minutes of your selection committee (using this template or an equivalent one), as we are responsible for the use of the funds according to the rules of the Erasmus+ program.
