Beijing Forestry University and Nong Lam University Strengthen Cooperation

On 8 January 2026, Beijing Forestry University (BFU), China, paid an official visit to Nong Lam University – Ho Chi Minh City (NLU) to advance bilateral cooperation in education, research, and international engagement.

During the visit, the two universities agreed to promote a Student Exchange Program, with Mr. Zhang Duo from BFU coordinating the preparation and follow-up of the exchange agreement to facilitate student mobility between the two institutions.

Regarding postgraduate opportunities, BFU expressed its strong interest in welcoming qualified lecturers and students from NLU to pursue postgraduate studies. BFU International College will recommend one to two eligible candidates from NLU for the Chinese Government Scholarship in the current academic year, with final decisions made by the China Scholarship Council.

The meeting also highlighted plans for joint research collaboration, encouraging faculty members to form interdisciplinary teams and apply for intergovernmental research projects.

Following the meeting, the BFU delegation delivered a Chinese Government Scholarship information session for students of the Faculty of Forestry and the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources, providing practical guidance on scholarship schemes, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.
