Nong Lam University - Ho Chi Minh (NLU) recently held a working session with a delegation from South Korean universities, including Chungnam National University, to strengthen strategic cooperation under the government-supported Bio-Green initiative. The partnership focuses on innovative education, academic mobility, and joint research aligned with global labor market demands.

A key highlight was the introduction of a Micro-degree system, enabling students to take specialized online courses from Korean universities and earn transferable credits or certificates. These courses, scheduled to launch this December, will initially feature English subtitles, with plans to expand to fully English-taught programs.

Both sides emphasized student and faculty mobility through credit transfer, exchange programs, summer courses, and short-term study tours. NLU’s English-taught programs in Food Technology, Veterinary Medicine, and Animal Science were identified as strong foundations for collaboration.

The meeting also explored bilateral research for 2025–2027 in green technology, biotechnology, and AI, alongside plans to establish a Vietnam–Korea University-Industry Network. NLU invited the Korean partners to its upcoming international conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Environment this November, marking a significant step in advancing NLU’s internationalization strategy.
